Ghana Stock Exchange Extends Trading Hours

The new trading hours shall be:

        Pre-Open                         09.30hours GMT
        Open                                10.00 hrs    GMT
        Continuous Auction       10.00 hrs – 15.00 hrs GMT
        Close of Trading            15.00 hrs GMT

The change in trading hours is to afford dealers increased contact hours with their clients during the trading day.  It is also meant to afford non-resident investors in time zones different from ours, greater opportunity to reach out to their local brokers.

It is expected that the extended trading hours will help improve liquidity in the market place.
